STMicroelectronics, commonly referred to as ST, is a global semiconductor company headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland. It was formed in 1987 through a merger of two European semiconductor companies: SGS Microelettronica (Italy) and Thomson Semiconducteurs (France). STMicroelectronics is one of the largest semiconductor manufacturers in the world.
